8-Constitution diagnosis
We identify the 8 constitutions.

Acupuncture is divided into several types according to the purpose of care.
There is constitutional acupuncture used after 8-constitution diagnosis, electroacupuncture used in pain care, growth acupuncture used for children's growth, Dongan facial acupuncture (Jeongan acupuncture) used on the face, and Ppaemona acupuncture and lipolysis acupuncture used for weight management.
In respiratory care, lung meridian points such as Jungbu, Cheondol, and Ukjung are stimulated.
Acupuncture is done together with pharmacopuncture, cupping, moxibustion, Chuna manual therapy, and physical therapy.
In Teo Korean Medicine Clinic's care materials, the procedure whose steps are confirmed is constitutional acupuncture.

With ordinary acupuncture the inserted needles are left in place or stimulated by hand, while with electroacupuncture an electrical stimulus is connected to the inserted needles. This page describes electroacupuncture as acupuncture used in pain care, but it is not necessarily added to every acupuncture treatment. Whether it is used, and at what intensity, is decided after looking at the purpose of care and your response to stimulation, so if electrical stimulation concerns you, please tell us before the procedure.
There is no single interval that applies to all acupuncture treatment. Even on this page the intervals for constitutional acupuncture, growth acupuncture, Dongan acupuncture, and Ppaemona acupuncture are given differently, and electroacupuncture in pain care is not presented with a fixed number of sessions. We check which acupuncture you are receiving and for what purpose, and how you responded after the previous session, before setting the next appointment, and it can also differ by branch.
The treated area may feel stiff for a while, and a small amount of bleeding, bruising, or fatigue may appear. If you see bleeding, press gently with clean gauze, and if you feel dizzy, do not stand up right away; rest first and tell the staff. If pain or swelling keeps getting worse, or symptoms unlike your usual ones continue, such as changes in sensation or movement, do not put up with it; have it checked at the clinic or at a nearby medical institution.
Constitutional acupuncture, electroacupuncture, growth acupuncture, Dongan acupuncture (Jeongan acupuncture), Ppaemona acupuncture, and fat-reduction acupuncture are used separately according to the purpose of care.
After diagnosing the 8 constitutions, we use constitutional acupuncture 1-2 times a week. After constitutional acupuncture and the identifying prescription, we check changes in sleep, digestion, bowel movements, and overall condition.
It is given at least 1 time a week, or 2 times a week depending on the condition, with needles retained for 15 to 20 minutes.
Given twice a week; this may differ by branch.
We use Ppaemona acupuncture and fat-reduction acupuncture, and Ppaemona acupuncture is given 1 time a week.
Standard acupuncture stimulates the inserted needles as they are, while electroacupuncture connects electrical stimulation to the inserted needles. On this page, electroacupuncture is described as acupuncture used in pain care, and whether it is used and how strong the stimulation is are decided by the purpose of care and your condition.
The treated area may feel stiff for a while, and a small amount of bleeding, bruising, or fatigue may appear. Press on any bleeding spot with clean gauze, and if pain or swelling worsens or lasts a long time, let the clinic know so your condition can be checked.
